I used the latest dvdfab decrypter. I ripped it in full mode with no problem, but when trying to watch it on the pc, the movie misses about half of the opening credits. If you hit next chapter it goes to the end. It seems there is some type of structure problem. Ive tried it 2 times with the same results.

  4. I've had a problem with dvdfab decrypter too. I says that it transfered it okay and it also opens in DVD Shrink fine, but the numbers just are not right. BoG is a 7 gb disc, but when opened in DVD Shrink it is only something like 4 gb. I transferred in Full mode. Then I tried movie only mode. BoG (movie only) is something like 5 gb, but when opened in DVD Shrink it is only something like 1.5 gb. After DVD Shrink did its thing I burnt both copies (Full mode and Movie only) with Img Burn. Neither copy works correctly. The both play but skip and freeze.

Use dvdfab decrypter and rip everything. Than Rip movie only with dvdfab decrypter. Go to Shrink and add the movie only rip to the extras from the whole rip.

    Thats it.

  8. i used ripit4me in full mode. at first the program said couldnt do output directory. i looked closer and saw in the "target directory for DVD files". C:\<BLADES_OF_GLORY_16X9> The name had a "<" after the c:\ and after the name of the title had a ">". i removed both <> and ripit4me went through with no problem. ran through dvd2one in full mode. watched last night no problems.

Are you talking about re-author mode in Shrink? That removes the menu functionality. I'm generally OK with that approach, and don't need the menu functionality with most movies. I just want to be clear about what you mean. I don't have Blades of Glory in hand yet, but have it on order.

Maybe an older version of DVDFab HD Decrypter will rip Blades of Glory (USA version) in movie-only mode as reported by someone else here, however...

The latest non-beta version DVDFab HD Decrypter 3.2.0.0 would not rip Blades of Glory correctly for me, neither in full mode nor in movie-only mode. In full mode, it skips Chapter 1, scrambles things, and begins with extras rather than the movie itself. In movie-only mode, it quits after a few seconds, saying the movie was ripped but that is false. If I turn off the new PathPlayer option, it aborts with a read error message, so that is not a cure.

However, as someone else also reported above in this thread, RipIt4Me ripped Blades of Glory for me. I changed the name of the default destination directory, of course, to something functional. I don't know if it matters in this case, but I have set DVD Decrypter to "Cycle Tray After Bad Sectors" (under the General tab) and it did so several times during this rip.

Looking at the RipIt4Me ripped product with DVD Shrink, it is not perfect. There is a small extra video glitch at the beginning, but that can be removed in reauthor mode by advancing the start by about 3 seconds. The result appears to be a good backup copy of the main movie. I'll report back here if there are any burning or playback problems (else it worked OK).
