This is not a Which one is better.
I just want to know what everyone has.
Also it would be nice to say what version you have too.

I own 1 Mac OSX iMac G3 (slow and sturdy)

I also have a few PCs(XP and (98). I play most games on them because I had most of my games before my mac.

If the answer is which is best .

    Mac for insane stability .
Pc , frequent crash's if unlucky , but far better supported in almost every respect

There is nothing wrong with a Mac for those who care to use it. The biggest issue is the limited choice of applications that run on it. But if it has what you need to use, it runs fine. The only problem I have with the world of Mac are the cult fanatics who don't use a Mac; they worship it.

I use a Mac for almost everything and, for the times I require a PC (I teach MS Access), I run Parallels and XP Pro in Coherence mode so I have all of my apps right there in my dock and can share data (and the clipboard) between the Mac and PC environments.

By the way: I don't worship my Mac. One does not worship tools.

I tend to use machines in pairs for best workflow + others for TV PVR or rendering duty.

Currently I use a pair of Core2Duo machines one with XP and one with Vista. I have a Linux P4 machine that is not used much for video although I intend to use it as a MythTV test bed.

I advise a company that has full up FCP Macs and Avid/Premiere PC's.

In my job they have Macs. They are stable. Linux also is stable.

I have a Macbook Pro and a self built PC. I need to have a Mac around because I do mac support.

TBQO if i could afford one of those badassed Mac Pros I would kick my PC to the curb, its not like I can't run windows on the Mac these days.

SCDVD makes an interesting point. I have 5 PCs here and wish to also get a Mac as my next computer, at least as an alternative, but the whole culture/religion behind it turns me off. Sure, if you can use a Mac for its incredible stability and powerful, albiet cookie-cutter, apps, then you will be fine, but if the whole mindset and philosophy becomes you and starts to bother you, you may have a problem.

This is what's holding me from getting a Mac. It's not the money, or the smaller support it has in the market. It's that whole liberal-leftist-artsie-phartsie-herb-smokin'-tree-huggin' scene that I want no part of. I believe having a Mac may suck me into that...
