    Does anyone know the registry hack to disable Windows keeping a history of files opened or www visisted?

    don't count on it working tho; alt browsers ,email progs, your ISP and various gummints all will keep a record of your every move!:]

    I wish....

    I'm sure there was a hack posted about a year ago that stopped IE and any windows program from keeping a list of recent files.

    It's not funny when Windows makes a record of links to a website that you have never visited and would never even think of visiting

    Man, too many frowny faces here.

    In IE,set the option "days to keep pages in history" in tools...internet options...general" to zero.
    Always delete the history from the same options above before closing IE and delete the cookies.

    Or use TweakUI, as suggested above.
