  1. hey, so i bought a HDD 2.5" from ebay, and when i got it, i tried loading things on it from my computer, it would just cut right out, as if i unplugged it. The only way to see the files again would be to unplug the cable then plug it back in again. aslo it would not play in the tv either, i had all the right cables. i bought another one and everything works fine on it. so any suggestions anyone???????????????????????????????????????????? ??????

You bought from e-bay... Something I've never done nor will ever do. Hopefully you can return it.

Buying from ebay ... I do it all the time ... just make sure you read any fine points ... or what I refer to as funny buggers ... some have no idea what it is they are selling sometimes (them's the one's to stay clear of) .

Without sending it back ... which in many case's cause's more grief than its worth ... especially knowing how ebay treats it users that have been done bad by sellers , in the past .

It's a portable type , which may have been bounced about during transit ... I know that happens ... pull the drive out and check the internal cables in its case are fitted firmly , and try it again .

If you have another unit that matches , you could swap out the drive and try it in the other unit , to test the drive itself ... could be a bad external housing and control card thats causing grief .

If that dosent work , I'd say it was bung before it arrived , whether it was in this state , known by the seller , or during transit , will be hard to prove ... unless the seller offered a DOA return policy .

If it comes by courier ... don't sign anything , until you have been given the option to assess the goods , the condition , completeness , and working condition ... especially anything that had insurance for transport included .
