I am having trouble with all video playback on my laptop. All video whether it is on a disc or on the net or downloaded plays like it is almost a film negative.I've tried adjusting brightness and contrast, I've tried different players such as vlc, nero showtime and others and all play the same. I've also tried different restore points and that has not helped. Has anyone else experienced this and was able to resolve the problem? Any sugestions are appreciated.

That sounds like a problem with your video card drivers or settings. You might try updating your video card drivers.
Telling us the brand and model of your laptop might help, along with the OS you are using and the type of video card your laptop uses. You can see that in 'Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced>Adapter', if you are running XP. For Vista, it's a little harder to find.
And welcome to our forums. -

I already have the latest driver so I tried rolling back to previous driver and it solved the problem. Thanks for your help.
