guys,
anyone know what's going on here and how to solve it:
example: I ripped a dvd in two parts of 1 hour, first the first 12 chapters, then the last 12 chapters
now, the file with the first 12 chapters plays fine and encodes fine but the part with the last 12 chapters plays fine in mediaplayer but instead of giving the time MP sees an 'Live' stream so I can't scroll etc. With this stream it also isn't possible to load it into TMPGenc (not supported)... am I missing something here??? why is the second stream different from the first with the same settings ripped with smartripper???
thanx in advance!

sorry, problem has been solved.
the last chapter (nr 21) which hold precisely 1 second of information and so contain no video nor audio ain't recognized within TMPGenc (and other proggies) but the first 20 chapters do perfect; so I skip that 21th chapter with ripping. <g>
Is this maybe a little copy-protection against ripping of WHOLE .vob files? Not all them dvd rippers support chapter-ripping (smartripper) and because this 'faulty' chapter is in the last .vob file which contains some 5 other chapters there is no way the movie can be encoded without errors.
btw: dvd title was The Mummy Returns (fyi)
