    Still in the very early stage, but might work better for especially troublesome sources, such as certain (but not all) MKV or MP4 files. Just an alternative if Directshowsource isn't delivering.

    PS:

    AVCHD is NOT supported, until ffmpeg has PAFF decoding built in

    If ffmpeg ever supports PAFF decoding, this will be a savior for people that need to edit AVCHD footage and don't want to pay a lot of money for buggy programs and plugins.

    Thanks for the tip. I'll put it with my tools in case I need it some day...........
    Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

    Yes, indeed. PAFF decoding should be happening soon, at it is a Google summer of code project, and it is the summer... Maybe in a few months, but reading the threads at ffmpeg, they're completely standoffish about it. I'm sure they've been pestered to distraction. When the time comes, we'll have to compare it to Donald Graft's AVCsource plugin, which is also nice and has a few months of head start on the FFmpeg plugin.
