Is this because of the size...if so what is the biggest size which will show as an image?

    this one is 800 x 600, 52kb...

The maximum file size is 2MB.

It seems like the largest usable image dimension is probably 800 X 600. Larger seems to get heavily resized and the quality will suffer. Full screen shots seem to look terrible, as you may have noticed. It pays to crop out any extra before uploading.

The rest of the info shows when you are posting:

    Images
JPG, GIF and PNG are the allowed formats and the max file size is 2MB.
    Files
Max file size is 2 MB.
But I try to keep them to about 200K max to conserve on hard drive space and make it easier for some members still on dial-up.

I use JPGs myself. I Add the 'Img' tag, then use the upload image browser to go to my 'Pictures' folder and select the image. Then I just copy the image file name from the file browser window and add that after the 'Img' tag, then add the ending 'img' tag, no spaces. I do this instead of typing the filename. Less chance of typing errors that way.

Oh, great. Now we have to scroll back and forth to view the pictures and read the text of all the other posts.
I, for one, would like it changed back.

    Looks great at 1024 X 768, even on a 15" LCD monitor.
