No - the link I gave you is a list of no less than 48 guides for your reading pleasure, on the subject of "How to convert my AVI file(s) into a Video DVD". Which guide did you try, and what app didn't you find?
If you like to take the easy way out on this either:
Get Convertx2dvd - the best AVI to DVD method for those who are uninterested in knowing how it's done, just do it
    or
Buy a DivX/XviD capable DVD player, that allows you to play the AVI as is, without any reencoding or converting.

    They cost about the same.

Sorry - I read the guide about converting .avi to dvd it gave a link to download a program called DVDflicks (i think) but when I went to download it - it said it was corrupt.
Once I download Convertx2dvd will that fix my problem? because my nero doesnt give me the option to burn .avi files at all and I have software already I think to convert it but it didnt seem to work. Sorry for being so blonde. I am just very new at this

  8. Most probably your avi is fake. Load it in GSpot to see.
