I got a problem with convertxtodvd.I wanted to encode avi files into vob. Those avi files had 26 episodes and each episode is like 25 minutes long so,I though of joining them first then convert them to vob so that I can watch on tv.I did that but convertxtodvd can only convert it for 5 minutes!!!But when I tried convertin a single avi file, everything goes well.So how do I convert multiple files into vob so that I can burn them into ONE DVD?Is there any way that convertxtodvd join the videos??and then convert them altogether into vob?and so i can watchthem on tv????Help is very much appreciated

Have you tried just adding your avi files one by one directly to convertxtodvd?

Did you combine all 26 episodes into one file?

So why do you think you have to or want to join them into one large file ??

I just drop 11 seperate avi files, 25 minutes each, into ConvertXtoDvd, set the target size for a dvd5, and it converts them into 11 seperate VOB's, which is kind of irrelevant seeing as when finished you can burn the resulting VIDEO_TS folder to dvdr and watch on your standalone player.

I'm thinking you don't understand the structure of, creating or how a dvd works
Or i'm not getting why you think you need to create one large file ?

It's not like you can just create one large VOB and burn it to a disc and watch it.
And 26, 25min. long episodes on one dvd5 is stretching it a bit

i would do maybe 6 episodes max, on one DVD

just take number 1-6 and drop them into convertx , set for dvd5 and encode them.

you get a video_ts folder with 6 numbered vob files , all set up as ONE DVD.. ready to be burned onto a DVD disc

you are whacked. there is no way to get almost 11 hours of video onto 1 dvd. shoot for 3 hours (6 episodes like theewizard suggests) max and the output will be viewable but not great. any more and it's unwatchable. go here and use the bitrate calculator - anything under 3000kb/s average bitrate won't be acceptable.
