.exe to .avi

I unfortunately downloaded some cinematic trailers of my favorite game, diablo2: lord of destruction. but the file is executable, it's a .exe file. if you double click, it will lauch the video automatically.

this is where i got the video

is there a way to make this .avi?

That appears to be a Bink video format with a embedded player. You might look here: http://www.radgametools.com/
