    I've used SubRip to convert idx/sub to srt for quite a while, but recently I've been having problems with a lot of idx/subs being barely recognizable in SubRip (usually they're fragmented horizontally).

    So I've begun using SubResync (VobSub) and Avidemux's OCR tool which seems to have no problem with the same idx/sub files, but I don't know how to enter italic characters into the "matrix" or "glyph" files. Does anyone know how to do this, or do I have to "lose" the italics?

    Is there really nobody who knows how to enter italics in either SubResync (VobSub) or Avidemux's OCR tool when converting idx/subs to srt?
