I'm ripping a DVD that had recorded a show from TV with a DVD recorder
when i play the DVD, the video comes up as full screen, but once i rip it and try to play it on the computer the size
(original DVD version)
(ripped version)
does anyone know of a program that will rip it at its original fullscreen size?

looks like it's the screen resolution settings on your dvd playing software on the computer needs to be changed to like FULL SCREEN. i don't think it has anything to do with the way the dvd disc was ripped. i've never heard of a ripping program to rip to original full screen size. adjust your dvd playback software on your computer.

Do you play the ripped DVD, or play a VOB from the ripped DVD?
My guess is that it's a 1/2 D1 mpg (352x480) and the ripped version is played without taking the DAR into account, something that may happen if you just play a VOB (depending on player software).
