  1. For what it's worth, I'm finding 0.0.9w is about as far into ffmpegX's releases as my pre-Intel G5 running 10.3.9 wants to go. I tried 0.0.9x and mpeg2enc.intel and had constant Progress crashes, though I figured, being universal, it would work. Then I switched back to the old mpeg2enc and the crashes stopped. (All of this stuff has always been super-stable for me.) Now I have a pesky window asking me to update mpeg2enc every time I start ffmpegX, but I'm not really interested in going back to 0.0.9k if I don't have to. Wish I could download 0.0.9w again.

    10.3.9 implies pre-Intel, as the first Intel Mac requires Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later.

    I had the same problem with Progress crashing, and did a "repair file permissions" in disk Utility restarted and that solved my problem at least.
