FLV to AVI

Hi,

I have some flv videos form youtube and I use the foollowing method given in some posts here:

In Vdub the filters:
1. MSU_SMartDeblocking
2. Static Noise Reduction (4)
3. Dynamic Noise Reduction (3)
4. Resize
5. MSU_SmartSharpen

Everytime I try to use the SMartSHarpen filter Virtualdub immediately exits when I start the encoding or when I try to move to next frame.
If I remove the filter from the list it's ok. I've tried downloading and reinstalling it without success.

How can I make the filter work ?????

for youtube FLV, i keep it simple

I use super, mostly i put them on my phone, i'm not trying to resize for my PC or dvd

I don't think the quality of youtube flash warrants the amount of work your are putting into it

It's to play them on a portable device with a resolution of 320*240 but I'd like to reduce the macroblocks, this is why I try this.

All is working fine except MSU SmartSharpen which makes vdub to exit without any error message.

I tested successfully with xvid and mjpeg.
(don't have flv decoder installed atm)
I used both vdub and mod.

The thing I noticed is how utterly useless and evil the "view original" box is.
Never tick it.

It did crash on me once (dubmod), but I can't single out a reason why or make it happen again.
The only problem I had was with dynamic noise reduction which is not configurable in vdubmod,
but works fine with vdub.

You could try the process loading the filters in avisynth instead.
