I am pulling my hair out trying to burn films to play in my DVD Most are in AVI format and I have tried several programs inc: Nero, Inter Video, and more recently, Ashampoo, Cucusoft and DVDSanta.

To change to IFO is no prob - but when I burn the disc, I only get the audio and no picture no matter what software I use I am tempted to blame my DVD Player but I get the same result playing through my pc. Can anyone help me please??

People are getting good results with DVD Flick. You might want to try it.

convertX from VSO converts avi's to DVD format ( video_ts ) folder

then use imgbrn to burn the folder to a DVD disc

BTW you said avi, but just incase you are working with a different file type/ext, RMVB is not avi, and causes lot of problems, and MKV also needs special handling, and i have seen MKV files with avi ext, not the proper mkv ext
