I've just started burning some avi and mpeg movies to dvd and the first one was fine.

Then it started showing some frame info and other stuff in the top left corner and I can't get rid of it. It's even showing on the films I haven't burned yet and I'm wondering if I've ruined them all.

I'm using Sothink DVD Movie maker to rip the files and Free Easy Burner to burn them onto the disk. I did have Power DVD installed, but deleted it to see if that worked, it didn't.

Any assistance would be most gratefully received as I don't want to ditch 30 hours of family videos and explain it to the in-laws.

OK, I've narrowed it down to the Sothink DVD ripper. It seems to want to put this overlay over all movie files.

That looks like ffdshow osd. When you play the video do you see a FF icon in the windows notification area? then double click on it and disable the OSD.
