dvd +DL or -DL

i was going to get some DL dvd's so i wouldent have to compress certain movies so much, but which is more compatable with stand alone, regular home dvd players + or -

DVD+R DL, Verbatim brand (Mitsubishi manufactured) discs, are really the only product that works.

DVD-R DL is not very compatible.
Other DVD+R DL media manufacture/brand are largely unreliable crap.
