Vitals: Mac 10.3.9, using Toast to burn DivX avi files to DVD-R, playing them on a Norcent 220 DVD player for tv viewing.
Okay, I'm just flat-out baffled. I've burned Season 1 of Life on Mars from torrented files. They all play perfectly on my computer at 720x576. Once I burn them, they lose all the letterboxing and they play at 4:3 and look awful. I've burned other avi files of shows which are in letterbox format, and they all play beautifully.
I know that Life on Mars is 25fps as compared to 30fps (I'm in the U.S.), and I've burned them as such, so that's not the problem.
Please, please, please help if you can.
