I used to have no problem capturing PICVideo AVI's in 720x576 with VirtualDub or my original Hauppauge software. After playing around with some trial versions of VCR software (PowerVCR and Showshifter) I can now only capture at very low resolutions without dropping frames like mad. I have uninstalled the trials, reinstalled my WinTV capture card following the instructions on their WEB page. I also reinstalled VirtualDub with no luck. Still loosing frames. In addition, all my old AVI files act kind of jerky when played in Windows Media Player. Used to look great...
Any suggestions? Are there any AVI setting files I should delete/replace?
Thanks!
