Hello all, first off let me say if my post is in the wrong place or anything please redirect me, I'm new here. Onto my issue... I recently burned 3 Dvd's worth of divx data onto Memorex DVD-R. I burned them in windows XP home, I believe just by dragging the files into the Writeable DVd folder through XP. The files are on the DVD, I've accessed them before, and I can visually see them burnt onto the DVD. I reformatted recently, and when I try to view the DVD by putting it into my Drive, it appears "RAW" and 0 bytes are free, and 0 used. What could have happened? The drive is a Sony DVD+- RW DW-A58A.

You say you drag and dropped into a writable dvd folder through xp but xp does not support burning dvds itself. It supports drag and drop to a cd though. You must be using some form of dvd/cd burning software. Have you reinstalled the divx codec. If you didnt windows would have trouble seeing a divx file. It would see it as an unknown file.
