They did this when version first came out. Well worth doing even if you don't compress a lot. The quality is now surprisingly good if you do it carefully.

guns1inger - how do you define "carefully"? I use fairuse from time to time to convert to xvid - but would like to see what divx is in comparison.

    Thanks. eon

Always use 2-pass or quality based encoding, never 1-pass to a fixed size. Always take quality over speed. Simple things that are often forgotten in the quest to get it done as fast as possible.

    I've never used it.
20.8 MB. What is it in that bundle?
Is it worth to download...even if it's free?
    Thanks

Converter, player, codecs, stage6 tools (uploader etc). All you really want is the pro version of the codec. The rest you can probably live without. Unfortunately you have to download the lot (including the google toolbar and desktop. although you don't have to install them)
