Alright well, i'm looking into purchasing a DVD recorder in order to record Halo 2 gameplays. I live in Australia and need to be able to record in pal-60.

Internal capture card is not an option as all I have is a laptop and external capture cards are incapable of recording in pal-60 as far as I am aware.

    - My question is can all DVD recorders record in pal-60? All I need is basic recording functionality not a HDD I just need to be able to burn to a disc and extract and convert the video on my laptop.

    - What specs/features should I be looking for in a recorder?

I have a $200-250 AUD budget and so far I've found this LG165 for about $180 dollars (whether it can record pal-60 or not i'm not sure) (http://au.lge.com/md/product/prodcategorylist.do?actType=detail&currPage=1&categoryId=...tId=1100000940)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My old Philips DVDR 985 records anything....except PAL60. I've also never heard of a DVD Recorder that records anything but a genuine PAL or NTSC signal...in color that is.
