I am looking for a way to resize some divx files. I have a bunch of cartoons that I burned to watch in my standalone dvd player and when I watch them all of them have a black box around them. I would like to resize them so they look like full screen without losing too much quality. Most of the videos are 512x384. Any help would be great.

If your standalone is like mine, it's Divx playback comes in two flavours. It's either 16:9 or it's 4:3. If it is set to 16:9 then 4:3 divx material is letterboxed and pillarboxed, and hence has a big black border all around. The only solution is to either live with it, or change it to output 4:3 when you watch this type of video.

I have tried setting it to 4:3 and it is still the same. Do you know if I resize it to 640x480 or 720x480 will that fix it. And any suggestions on how to would help
