    Hello Great Forum,

    I have an XviD which does not play in WMP. I get a 'Windows media Player encountered an unknown error'. VLC plays it but i cant forward it. Dropping it in VDubMod brings up an Avi Import Filter box which gives 'Reconstructing missing index block (aggressive mode' message and its taking a while to complete. How do i repair the file?

    Once Virtualdub is done, just save out as a new AVI, making sure both audio and video is set to Direct stream.
    Or use some AVI repair tool like Divfix.
