Hi,
(some questions to Liteon 760/740 or Sony RDR-HX730 owners…)
I would like to backup my 2-hours Hi-8 tapes with the highest possible quality on DL DVDs,
and I am trying to figure out which of the above two recorders would be best for this.
Question regarding the Liteon:
Is it possible to use the “JUST FIT’’ setting in the Liteon HD-760
to capture a full 2 hours of video on a DL DVD (in a way that fills the entire DVD)?
Question for both the Liteon and the Sony:
Is there any playback delay (or video loss) when the recording goes from the first layer
of the DL DVD to the second one?
Thanks a lot for your help!
ps. I wish we had the Liteon HD-970 in North America, it looks like a great recorder,
especially the 1080p upconversion! But the Liteon site shows only a model
with a Pal tuner…
