Sorry if this is really stupid. I'm actually educated, but...

I'm having a problem with avi multiple audio in windows media player with ffdshow.

All 4 tracks are playing, and I can see 4 ffdshow audio decoders in the taskbar. Problem is that I only want 1 or 2 playing at a time and I can't figure how to select or turn off the decoder for the unwanted tracks.

Again, sorry if this is really simple, but I've searched all over and can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

    Thanks very much in advance.

First thing I would try is a different player. The freeware VLC does well at handling subs, and should be able to select the ones you want. If it works and WMP doesn't, don't use WMP. If it doesn't, your file may have problems.

    And welcome to our forums.

The problem is WMP. It can't handle multiple audio streams (as you noticed it just plays them back all at once). You would need to install a 3rd party audio switcher ( such as mmswitch) or as said use a different player.
