    i have a 720p xvid video i want to burn as a dvd but nero crashes about a minute in to the video conversion , what can i use to convert it to a playable dvd ?

    what is the resolution of your file ?

    I have a 920*528 mkv, that has proven troublesome, I found one way to it, but looking for a way that provides less 'loss of detail/sharpness' if its possible

    the reults were pretty good ,but always looking for better

    The resolution is 720p, so 1280x720. Also since the video is Xvid it is probably in an avi container.

    For a 920x528 source, when converting to NTSC you will always lose detail/sharpness since you are downsizing. For PAL you would actually be upsizing, at least vertically.
