  1. My DVD drive would not burn DVDs anymore, but it will burn CDs. I listend to what a few people said here, and figured one of the lasers had went bad. Went today and bought a new DVD drive, and guess what. It still will not burn DVDs, but will burn CDs. It gets to a certain % and just sets there and doesnt go past it. No error messages or anything. I stop the burn and have to use task manager to shut down Nero, but I see the light flashing on the drive where it is stil trying to read the DVD. I have reinstalled Nero, tried different versions of Nero, and tried different DVDs.

  2. Have you tried different media of better quality?

    edit:
Oops, should have read to the end. Next thing to do, go to www.antivirus.com, in the home and home office quick links, look for free virus scan...

Otherwise there's a good chance re-installing Windows will fix it.

  4. I have tried several different types of discs and none are working, but they all use to work. I didnt use Nerocleantool, but I guess I will give it a shot again tomorrow. As far as posting a Nero burn log I cant because it wont burn any dvds and there is never any error message with it either. I mainly use the dvds to burn data such as VCDs.

  5. 1.Make sure DMA is enabled on all drives, use Nero InfoTool to check.
    2.Uninstall Nero InCD(if installed).
3.Go to My Computer and right-click on your DVD writer then select Properties->Recording and disable.
4.Use another burn program such as ImgBurn.

BTW:what version of Nero are you using?
