Hi all
I would like to copy some dvd's to a portable hd for playback on my laptop when I'm away from home, can someone tell me what software to use for this and the player needed for playback please.
I have tried Apex Video Converter with some success but find that bits of the film are missing and it ends up in 4 or 5 parts.
Thnx

You can use ripit4me if they are commercially protected. If not, dvddecrypter or just copy n paste the files into the HDD. Media Player Classic can play from the VIDEO_TS.IFO file or VLC can play from the folder - both free.
These will copy the whole DVD as your title says. Your last sentence says you want to convert. Which is it? -
Thanks Pinstripes23
Copy the dvd, I was only trying to convert as I was not sure if there was a player that can play the files when copied to hd.
Thank you I will try as suggested.
