For years I've used the same zvid codec to encode and view. XviD-04102002-1.exe

Worked perfectly, but recently all my movies are upside down. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, removed divx, removed nero. Checked the flip YUV/RGB prefs but nothing fixes it.

Whenever I install my codec, xvid is upside down in WMP9. I have no ffdshow installed either.

    any ideas?

That's such a common question that there is a 'Sticky' for it at right at the top of this forum: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=150504 Have you read that yet?

ofcourse, I've uninstalled all codecs(only had divx and xvid). I'm not going to install ffdshow because I've never had it and don't really want it.

Because these videos were playing fine before there must be something somewhere, just cannot work out what.

After doing some more testing, if I turn my display to 16bit color, the video plays the right way up, if I move it back to 32bit. It flips again!
