Looks like they will need a firmware upgrade to play AVI videos encoded using a packed bitstream. I got one of these and it wouldn't play in my Philips 642 so I tested it in my friend's Oppo and it wouldn't play in it either. Using Mpeg4Modifier and saving it without the packed bitstream was the only way it would play in either deck.
