  1. i recently got VP5 and i installed it fine..and it was working properly. But then one day, when i went to open it, it freezes while starting. The VP5 logo pic shows up and it freezes. I have XP and i tried the servicepack and the XP update, but they dont seem to help. Anybody know how to fix my problem?

  2. Silly question, but did you try reinstalling it?? That might just do the trick.

  3. yeah...i have... 4 times to be exact. It works fine on my other computer (P3 833 + Win98) but it still won't work on the other comp (P4 1.7gHz XP). I have tried installing it with the servicepack, installing it with the service pack and the XP patch, and installing it without any of them. Nothing seems to work!

  4. Use the XP System Restore in the "Help and Support" section to a date with a system check when you know it was working. It uses a simple calendar to pick a restore point- very simple, fast and handy for situations like this.

You may want to make a restore point before doing this in case you have made lots of mods to the system and want to get them back.

If it works after the restore, you may need to look through the restore log to see what changes you made that may have affected it--
