I have recently brought the Leadtek Winfast DVT2000H TV tuner / capture card. Has anyone used the svideo connection to record a VHS tape (from VCR) to the PC.

    My questions are:
    1. What code do you take the analoue signal into
    2. My VCR has 3 video outs being left audio (white), right audio (red) and video (yellow). Is there a cable I can get that will combine these into a s-video connection that connect to the Leadtek Winfast DVT2000H card OR would I have to but a VCR that has a S-VIDEO out.

Thank you, wait for your reply.

    1. I have no clue what you're talking about, you'll have to explain better.

    2. If you want to use S-Video you need a VCR with S-video out. S-video is video only, you still need to connect the red and white composite cables for audio when using S-video.

I have one of these cards. The first thig to do is update all the drivers and the version of WinPVR that you have. You can find these at the Leadtek site.

However, even with the latest version of their software, I found it would not capture analogue footage at anything other than 352 x 288, no matter what settings were configured.

The only program that will consistently capture from this card is Virtual VCR.
