I have a half-full DVD+R recorded from my set-top Philips DVDR72 that gave me a disc error as I was saving out the last title. I almost threw it away as a coaster but decided to try it on my computer DVD+RW drive. DVDDecrypter (empty disc message) and DVDshrink (overlapped I/O error) couldn't read it, yet I was able to copy the file structure (IFOs, BUPs and VOBs) to my hard drive using Windows explorer. When I then do "Open Files" in DVDShrink, I get "Failed to open VTS_01_0.IFO". I also tried using IFOedit's "Create new IFOs" function with no luck...not sure if I'm doing it right as there are so many options

What steps can I take and what tools do I need to recover this content? The VOBs are playable, so it seems only the VTS_01_0.IFO is corrupt. At a very minimum, I'd like to restore the VOB contents and rebuild the title and chapter markers (menus are not important), with as little or no re-encoding of the VOBs. End result would be a playable DVDR on any set-top DVD player, with or without menus.

I am just a step up from a newbie, so be gentle, LOL.
