  1. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me. I record tv shows (such as Judge Judy and MadTV) to my hard drive and then use Nero Vision to make the dvd and it comes out good. I convert the dvr-ms files to mpeg, then burn to dvd. When I play them back and go to use closed caption on the tv, the subtitles are not there. Is there a way I can get them to show up?

If you need more info, just ask. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using Search ? or just browsing a little ? There is a sticky above this post in adding subs to an existing DVD, and if you search there are several posts on ripping closed captions to create subtitles.

    Hi guns1,
I did check all the above links in the stickies and I still can't figure out which one I need. I just check my disc(Judge Judy) and it does not have any subpicture streams or .sub or .srt files on it. They're all either VTS or VIDEO_TS files. I don't know if it matters if I have a menu on there or not but I do. Can you or someone else help to get me started? These are the programs I have on my computer: DVDShrink, DVDFab Decrypter, and Nero. If I have to download others, please be specific in which ones and I can follow accordingly.

    Thanks,
    Wy
