What are the user experiences in using RDR-GX220 Sony DVD recorder? What are the main advantages and disadvantages?

What about the DVD burn speed (4x, 6x etc..)? I did not find any control over it in the specs in the websites. How is the video image quality of DVDs that are burnt/recorded, either from TV or a camcorder?

BTW, has anybody tried burning directly from a MiniDV camcorder? How is the image quality in such a case of the recorded video? Is iLINK absolutely necessary or we can do with AV cable?

Is it worth buying?
