Hello all, I'm new to all this so please be nice!

Ok, I record my bass tutorials with my dvd camera. I finalize the disc, put it in my comp, and open the folder.

    It is a .ISO file.

I need to convert this file to a MPEG so I can upload to youtube.

If there is any free software out there, then all the better. I had something called DVDzip pro, but It wouldnt allow me to convert vids over 3 minutes, unless I paid.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

    Kris.

You should see a video_ts folder if you have made a standard dvd with your dvd camera.

How big is the .iso file? can you copy it to your hdd?

    No other files?

Try open the dvd with Isobuster and see if it can find more data. Or try on another dvd driver or computer.

For what it's worth these are Google's vid recommendations.

    Quality Recommendations:

If possible, we suggest uploading the original source file. However, we recommend the specifications below for maximum quality and reasonable file size:

    - MPEG4 (mp3 or mp4 audio) at 2 mbps
    - MPEG2 (mp3 or mp4 audio) at 5 mbps
    - 30 frames per second
    - 640x480 resolution
    - 4:3 frame
    - de-interlace
