  1. Got Nero creating VCD phto albums with menus that play on DVD.
If I don't use menus I can put as many pics on a CDR as will fit.
Limit on Menus is 99 pictures.
Anyone know how I can create multiple files (99 pics each), with seperate menus, and get them on a single CDR?
And will the DVD player recognize even if I could?
    many thanks

  2. I believe that a single slideshow w/ menu and 99 images maximum is a limitation of Nero like you said. I don't think there is a way around it.
However instead you could try Ulead DVD PictureShow which I think can create up to 99 slideshows each with 99 images and menus on 1 cd-r.
There is a demo download available with limited functionality.

  3. thanks
here's what i've found about ulead dvd picture show and nero having worked with them both over the past few weeks.
ulead will allow 99 'shows' with 99 picture each. what you get is up to 99 thumbnails on a single image, each of which will have up to 99 pictures 'behind' each. choose one of the thumbnails on the menu and you have to cycle through 99 individual pictures (no way to jump to one of them).
nero, on the other hand can put an unlimited amount of photos on a menu with the titles (names) of each picture - or -
you can have 1 menu with up to 99 thumbnails. you cycle through the menu screens which show 8 to 12 thumbnails at a time and you can choose to jump to any of the pictures from that screen. on my dvd you can jump right back to the main menu.
by the way - i have cdrw drive on a dell dimension thats only 1 year old which ulead software doesn't support. so if anyone is going to buy ulead i suggest a call to them to check and see if the specific drive is supported.
by the way - i recently did some trouble shooting for someone who has a sony 5 disc dvd player and ulead did not work until we used CDRW media instead of CDR.

  4. you might also want to try Smartdisk's MVP. Same type of software as Pictureshow. You might have better luck with it.

As far as the Sony that may be a limitation on the DVD changers part. I've got 3 different DVD players, a GE, a Pioneer, and an Apex. They all have different limitations.
