My goal is to convert a 15 minute training dvd to flash for use on our website.
Following some advice on here, I first used used DVDdecripter and it created these files on my hard drive:
VIDEO_TS.BUP 16384 2007-02-24 6:34
VIDEO_TS.IFO 16384 2007-02-24 6:34
VIDEO_TS_MENU_1.VOB 8192 2007-02-24 6:34
VTS_01_0.BUP 36864 2007-02-24 6:36
VTS_01_0.IFO 36864 2007-02-24 6:34
VTS_01_1.VOB 1428211712 2007-02-24 6:36
VTS_01_MENU_1.VOB 12230656 2007-02-24 6:34
VTS_02_0.BUP 36864 2007-02-24 6:37
VTS_02_0.IFO 36864 2007-02-24 6:36
VTS_02_1.VOB 1428385792 2007-02-24 6:37
VTS_02_MENU_1.VOB 8192 2007-02-24 6:36
VTS_03_0.BUP 18432 2007-02-24 6:37

VTS_03_MENU_1.VOB 8192 2007-02-24 6:37
Next I used VOB2mpg v2.3 and it created these files:
--Wondering why it didn't create one mpg instead of all these?
VTS_01.mpg 1440733184 2007-02-24 6:48
VTS_01_MENU.mpg 12232704 2007-02-24 6:48
VTS_02.mpg 1428662272 2007-02-24 6:49
VTS_02_MENU.mpg 8192 2007-02-24 6:49
VTS_03.mpg 4464640 2007-02-24 6:49
VTS_03_MENU.mpg 8192 2007-02-24 6:49
Next I used RIVA FLV Encoder and it wants to process one mpg at a time.
The menu mpgs seem to go without error but when I tried VTS_01.mpg I get this error. Appreciate any help...
he encoding of your video file has failed.

Hi, I tried super and it created these files, I was expecting just one file? When I click on any of the files, the RIVA player comes up but nothing happens. Thanks for your help, I seem to still be a bit confused as to what I'm doing. Any suggestions, not sure where I go from here.?
I need to have one flv file not 9!!
What am I doing wrong? SUPER doesn't have much of a help forum, please help.

Thanks again for your help. I'm trying redo now and it will take about 25 minutes or more...
For a 15 minute video the file sizes seem very large, 2.6 GB, a couple took quite a long time for me to ftp them to my web server. Is there some way I can reduce the file size when I do Super to creat the flv's so the file is smaller but the quality is not greatly reduced.
I'll let you know how I did with redo once it's done. Thanks, you're awesome for helping with this. -
Update!
Redo is confusing? Do I combine or join? Managed to create on mpg and one vob both play but with no sound? Getting more confused on what i thought would be simple. Thanks!
Just to recap, I have a standard 25 minute training dvd video with sound and video and also a choice of closed captioning. Still at square one with this... -
Feeling a bit frustrated with this. Let me recap what I'm trying to do. I have a 23 minute dvd video with audio and video and a choice of closed captioning.

I just one to create a single file or multiples as long as they work together and play the audio and video with a choice of closed captioning. Please help!! -
I looked at this again and was surprised to see that the flv files created actually worked. The files were broken out into 4 parts, 2 without closed captioning and 2 with. I was able to use the free flash player OK too and I'm able to see the video ok.
Now I just need to figure out how to evenly divide the 2 parts. Right now, part 1 is 19 minutes and part 2 is 6 minutes. If anyone know's that setting on Super, please let me know. Thanks!
