Do you hear any audio if you use the tvtuner applications? or is it just windvr 3 that does not record any audio?
Have you checked so the line-in isn't muted in the sound volume mixer settings?
Have you checked for new updated tvtuner drivers for windows vista?

i've tried several tvtuner apps but i still hear no sound
in the settings in vista the line-in doesnt seem to be muted and if it is i have no idea how to unmute it. what i do notice though is when the tvtuner app is open the bars are moving next to the line-in area.
i checked for updated tvtuner drivers for vista but nothing...
also i forgot to mention what type of tuner i have. its the 7130 tvtuner card

oh and a remote came with it too but that doesnt seem to want to work ether...

    one more thing
when i record something i can hear the audio =/
but when i try to playback the recording it puts my volume all the way down so the only way i can hear it is if i play it and quickly go to the volume and make it higher
[the clip i recorded was only 5 seconds long]

    edit:

ok so i tried updating the drivers again and this time it updated
heres whats on the device manager now under sound, video, and game controllers:
7130 tv tuner card WDM tvtuner
sinovideo pci 2309 proteus (7130) WDM video capture
high definition audio codec [that was there before i installed the tv tuner]

Lol that's funny i have a similar problem (not so funny actually)

win dvr3 used to work fine untill something (unclear to me) happened

I get no sound with win dvr3 and i must carefully check the audio level playback with fly 2000tv otherwise i record a video without sound.

Looks like now the sound is passing through the general audio mixer or i don't know...very strange

  7. I have recently bought my first capture card, which is a cheap external PixelView PlayTV USB 2.0 and had been having the same problem with WinDVR3.0 until I got pissed off and decided to make use of the bundled installing disc; the bundled software has a somewhat weird version of WinDVR which gives me no results if doing a search on Google but DOES give me sound while watching TV channels on it.

The strange version I am referring to is 3.0B079.514C8G.

Please, if you could test it and report your results here, it'd be very much appreciated.
