    Hi there.

I am wondeiring if Liquid 7 Pro can complress video for flash? I'm trying to decide whether to purchase Liquid 7 Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and this may be the deciding factor. In case you may be able to provide a solid opinon on the larger issue, here are some details.

I will be using the software to edit video for webcasts and multimedia (web based trainings, often flash). I'm wondering which is the better software to use and also to know.

My two main concerns are functionality and skill set.

For functionality, I'm more concerned with which software is easier or better to do the same task in... I'm not so concerned with # of effects or that kind of thing, but more for every day editing.

For skill set, I mean which software package is better to know when looking for an editing job. Eventually I would like to go into sports editing and would like to learn the software that is best for my career as well.

I am an average video editor and used to edit in Media 100 and Final Cut Pro. My company is purchasing the software so purchase cost is not a factor. Macs are not supported, so Final Cut is not a choice. Vegas is not an option.

I have to make the decision today or tomorrow and am turning to you guys for help since I'm so undecided.

Thanks very much for any and all input!

  2. Why not download the trial of Liquid 7 and try it. I use LE7 and love it, but you may not.

Hi dunforcheap. Thanks for replying. I did download and gave it a try but I was hoping find some editors that have experience using both or could lend some advice as to which one would be a better software to know considering the direction most production houses are heading. I am purchasing all the equipment at the same time as the software so I was not able to capture with it either. Anyone got any advice on which way to go or comparison info between the two?
