    How would I go about combining and re-encoding SVCDs into DVD compliant MPEG-2? Anyone got any ideas?

    first you could try this www.vcdhelp.com/vcddvdr.htm

    but the best way is to reencode to make it 100 % dvd compliant then you can use this method www.vcdhelp.com/mpeg2tovcd.htm and instead of converting to vcd you select the dvd template. and also maybe convert to 352x480/576 instead of increase the resolution to 720x480/576.
