    Hi all,

I looks like I have a basic misunderstanding problem with the mode of operation of ffmpegX.
Here's my use case: I have a movie file of type A (let's say a .wmv file) and want to convert it to type B (let's say a .mov file H.264 encoded).

Now, what I did was: I dragged&dropped the source file onto ffmpegX's source location. ffmpegX detected a movie of type asf with the video encoded in WMV3 format and a resolution of 1280x720 pixel.
(To keep things simple, let's not pay any attention on audio for now.)

Next I wanted to select a destination format and, from the drop down/pop up menu I chose "h.264 mencoder" (the 3rd entry in my ffmpegX version 0.0.9x r2).

That's all what I wanted. I didn't want any downsampling/resizing of the movie. But instead, in the Video section of the destination area I can now read "640x352". How come? Do I really have to go to the Video tab now and manually reenter the original movie resolution of 1280x720 pixel?

Thanks for your help and nice greetings from Germany,
    Stefan.

  2. Some presets actually force a target video size based on most often used values, so you will need to reenter your wanted resolution. I'm going to improve the usability of this in version 1.0.0.
