Made a VCD (CD-R) with VCDeasy and CDRDAO and it works great on my new computer. My 4yr old laptop with a 6x CD drive doesn't even recognize there is a disk with any data on it in the drive. Same goes for a data CD-R I made with CDRDAO... laptop doesn't show any disk in the drive, won't even open the CD.
Any ideas? Problems with CDRDAO, problems with drivers? I had to force ASPI on my new computer to get it work on my new Windows XP machine.
Help?

No, a problem with your old CD drive. Sounds like that 6x drive can't read recordable formats. This is common with older drives. You're only guaranteed that writeable media will work if your drive is labelled multi-read.
