I have a secondary 60gb firewire hard drive, which has about 30gb taken. Apparently it wasn't formatted correctly to start and when I hooked it up today I am having troubles. Every time I click on it, it asks me to format it. Even with norton. I can't do anything with it! I just want to know if there is a way to recover the files on it. Please help me. Thanks

Visit the makers website and see if they offer any utilities. Most HDD manufacturers have special utilities for their drives available for download.
