Sony DRX-830U Burning issues

Hello,
Does anyone use the Sony DRX-830U? I just recently purchased one and
I cannot get it to burn a full dvd for the life of me. I am using the Nero that
came with the unit. I have used DVDShrink to rip it and Nero to burn it. I also
tried using AnyDVD and NeroRecode to rip and burn. It will get
part way thru then error everytime. I am using Sony 16x DVD-r'sand tried Nexxtech
and Memorex 8x DVD-r's and have created around a dozen or so coasters.

The ripping seems to go well and anydvd seems to be working fine.
I have tried two different laptops. Im wondering if it is the drive?
It seems to burn data to dvd-r and cd-r just fine, just burning a dvd is
a challenge.

The burner shows up as Sony DRU-830A w/ SS22 firmware.

If anyone has any information on this, or would like to see the
NeroRecode.txt error file, let me know and I can post a link to it.

I bought a DRX830U recently as well. The first one was defective. It had trouble reading certain discs. I exchanged it, and the new one has worked very well. I believe you can download a drive test from Nero to see if there is a problem with yours.
