  1. Hi, I'm having trouble with Nero. I use Fitcd to create an avs file from a DivX file, which I then put into Virtualdubmod to create a new (resized) avi (divx 6) file. So I can watch it on my television and kill some of the overscan. The final file is around 1600 mb for a 90 min. movie (from the original 700mb divx movie). Unfortunately when I use Nero 6 to burn onto a Sony DVD+RW I have to cut this file up into pieces smaller then about 450MB or less then 30 minute segments. If I don't I get oddball problems occuring at after about (approx.) 30 minutes. Sometimes the audio is off, sometimes the movie won't play any further, sometimes it goes into slow mo, basically not watchable/playable.

My Dvd Burner is a Sony DRX-830U
    My media is a DVD+RW SOny 4.7GB or 120 Min, 1x - 4x
    Using NeroVision Express 3 SE
    Latest VDUBMOD
    Latest Fitcd

    Any ideas guys?

AND don't convert to divx again with Virtualdubmod, convert to a format that isn't that compressed like dv-avi,lagarith and use uncompressed wav audio and you shouldn't get that much sync problems. Or frameserve.

If you have a Divx/Xvid capable player then you can burn your new avi to disc as data using Nero bruning rom. Never let NeroVision near your video.

  5. thanks for the help guys. Baldrick, I downloaded Lagrith, what exactly do I do with these files? I have an .inf and a .dll file, how do I put them somewhere so that I can use them in vdubmod? Gunslinger, my dvd doesn't have that option....I'm gonna check out convertx once I get this lagarith codec to work. And lastly how do I save to .wav using vdubmod?? What is the way to change the audio? I'm sorry I'm still a noob, using this for over a year but never took the time to nail these things down, but I'm sure with a few kind helpings from you guys I could get it down quick

    Thanks,

    a-man
