    I had both a Liteon 5005 and 5007.
    Both made recordings that worked.
But I noticed that some areas that had some dark earth tones came ouy with an exaggerated green hue.
Here is a sample of 4 pics I took from the TV screen.
The first and third are directly from a TiVo output.
The second and fourth are the output of a Liteon DVD recorder.

  2. I had two 5005s: shaking/strobing picture, humming audio, noisy, and greenish tint. Both units went back to the store. I've had three different dvd recorders(Sony,Panny,&Liteon), and Liteon was hands down the worst.

I've never seen green in any of my LiteOn units, nor in the discs recorded by others. I've heard of this green issue before, but I often wonder if it was actually to blame on secondary issues (power, cables, etc).

  6. Have had a number of Liteon/ilo units A 5045 and one 5005 never had a green tint issue they had firmware 197b and 098

Two 5005 had an early firmware 086 and had a green tint problem but did not seem sever. They were corrected when I went to 098

Two ilo RHD4 had firmware prior to 195 and had a green tint issue but was corrected with firmware 195

In all these units the problem was in play, not in the recording, as disks burned played fine in other units
