  1. Capture with Hollywood DV-Bridge (I think DV Type 1)
    Try use Virtualdub, error message
Try use a .avs file, no error message
I think the Problem is that the audio and video data is only available in 1 stream.

    Any omniscient for help/tips/links ?

  2. you can convert your DV AVI (type 1) to DV AVI (type 2); I'm assuming that's what you want to do, with Canopus DV File Converter. I don't have a link specific to the download page, but you should be able to find it by navigating around http://www.justedit.com

    hope this helps.

  5. humdinger,
Try as I might, I couldn't get SF's capture program to capture multiple files. It also tried to capture the 4-channel 32KHz audio, when the tape had 2-channel 44KHz audio(result was no audio at all). And it was finicky and hung and crashed several times. I had these same type of results on a previous system (different processor, O/S, etc.), so it's either my Firewire card (Pyro) or camera (Canon Optura Pi).
The only good thing about it was that it could capture all the frames from a tape. I'm using Premiere now to capture, but it barfs if you tell it to start too close to the beginning or end too close to the end of the video on the tape (you need lead in and lead out).
    Any words of wisdom?
